- The first thing you need to look at is the shape of the toilet seat. This has been catergorised into 12 different shapes and the 13th being special shapes
- The second factor that is important when selecting a seat is the size the width and length of the seat and the most important is the hinge centers. If the toilet seat does not fit your hinge centers then the seat will not fit on your toilet.
- Selecting the correct hinge for your toilet seat. There are two main types of toilet seat hinges the first one being a standard hinge which you fit from the bottom of your toilet. And then the second being a top fixing or universal hinge, these are used when you have no access underneath the toilet and need to fit the seat from the top of the toilet.
Any markings on the toilet with brand labeling or on the seat will also make it a lot easier to find the correct seat. There are however a lot of toilets with no brand markings on. But don't worry this doesn't mean we can't find a seat for you.
If you are still struggling to find the correct seat then fill out our "find a seat" page above and email us over some images and we hopefully can help you find the correct toilet seat.
